Problem

According to the web page recíclame.es, the world recycles 80.000 glass bottles but throws away 920.000. In Spain we recycle 709.997 tons out of  1.513.658. This makes up 47% of glass production. We can see that glass recycling could be better. That's why we want to improve it.

This is not all. Some glass can be recycled, but not all types, and also recycling glass on a large scale is very expensive and it uses a lot of energy. Therefore not all glass ends up recycled during this process. So the solution we’ve thought of is not only recycling glass, but also reusing it in different, easy and useful ways.

Our objective

As we said, we are working on glass recycling, but why? When we started thinking about recycling projects, we discovered that glass was a very serious problem and we need to do something to solve it. So we are doing this to make people think about it and to give them some ideas on how to reuse this glass. ​
